Ashby + Langos Setup

Connect Ashby to Langos end-to-end: generate API keys, wire up the integration, add Langos assessment activities to interview plans, start assessments for candidates, and view the completed report — all in one flow.

Before You Start

Make sure you have access to both your Langos workspace settings and your Ashby admin/integrations area.

You will need
  • Permission to create an Ashby API key (usually under Admin)
  • Access to Settings → Integrations in Langos
  • Access to Ashby Admin → Integrations and API key management
Important
  • The Langos ATS API key is shown once right after creation
  • Copy it immediately and paste it into Ashby
  • You will use Ashby interview activities to launch assessments
Step 01
Generate an Ashby API key

Start in Ashby by creating an API key. Langos needs it to call Ashby's API — reading jobs and posting assessment status on candidates.

In Ashby, open the API key management area. The usual path is Admin → Integrations → API Keys.

  • Click + Create API Key for Langos to create a new API key for Langos to use.
  • Give it a recognisable name — for example, Langos.
  • Enable the permissions Langos needs (list assessments, sync activity, update candidate records).
  • Copy the key while it is visible — you may not be able to retrieve the full secret again after leaving the screen.

Ashby Settings → Integrations — search Langos and create a new API key.
Handle the key like a password. Store it only where you will paste it next (Step 2 in Langos). You can rotate or disable it in Ashby later if it is exposed.
Step 02
Add your Ashby API key in Langos

Open Settings → Integrations in Langos, find the Ashby ATS row, paste your Ashby API key, and click Connect.

  • Go to the Langos workspace where you want to enable Ashby.
  • Open the Integrations tab in Settings.
  • In the Ashby ATS section, paste your Ashby API key.
  • Click Connect to create the integration.

Copy the generated Langos ATS API key

After you connect Ashby, Langos generates a Langos ATS API key. You will paste this into Ashby next.

  • Langos shows the generated ATS key immediately after the integration is created.
  • Copy this value — it is shown once.
  • This is the key Ashby will use to call Langos assessment endpoints.

Step 04
Open the Langos integration in Ashby

In Ashby Admin, find and open the Langos integration so you can configure its API settings.

  • In Ashby, navigate to Admin → Integrations.
  • Find Langos in the enabled integrations list.
  • Click it to open its configuration panel.

Step 05
Verify the Langos integration is configured in Ashby

Paste the Langos ATS key you copied in Step 3 and confirm the integration is active.

  • Paste the Langos ATS API key into the Langos API Key field.
  • Add the Base URL with the suffix /api/ats/webhook — for example, https://app.langos.io/api/ats/webhook.
  • Confirm the integration is active and saved.
  • Ashby can now call Langos to list, start, and update assessments.

Step 06
Choose Langos when adding an interview activity

In Ashby's interview plan flow, select the Langos integration when adding a new activity.

  • Go to the Ashby job or interview plan where you want to use Langos.
  • Click Add Activity.
  • In the integrations section, choose Langos.

Step 07
Pick the Langos assessment type

After selecting Langos, choose the assessment type you want Ashby to attach to the interview process.

  • In the Add Langos Activity panel, open the assessment type dropdown.
  • Search or select the desired assessment type.
  • The list is pulled from the assessment types configured in Langos.

Step 08
Confirm Langos activities appear in the interview plan

After saving, the interview plan should show the Langos assessment activities in the selected stages.

  • Review the interview plan after saving.
  • Make sure the Langos assessment appears in the expected stage.
  • You can add multiple Langos activities across different stages if needed.

Step 09
Start the assessment for the candidate

When the candidate is ready, start the assessment activity from their Ashby profile.

  • Open the candidate profile in Ashby.
  • Find the Langos assessment activity under Activities & Progress.
  • Click Start Assessment.

Open the completed assessment in Langos

Once the candidate finishes, Ashby surfaces the score and a direct View in Langos link.

  • Expand the completed Langos assessment in Ashby.
  • Review the overall score surfaced back into Ashby.
  • Click View in Langos to open the detailed report.

Step 11
Review the full report in Langos

The Langos report gives a detailed score breakdown, session timeline, and replay/report actions.

  • Inspect the candidate's overall assessment score and breakdown by category.
  • Use the session timeline to see how the candidate worked through the task.
  • Open replay or report actions for deeper evaluation and follow-up workflows.

Quick Summary

  1. Generate an Ashby API key in Admin → API Keys.
  2. Paste it into Langos under Settings → Integrations → Ashby ATS, then copy the generated Langos ATS key.
  3. Open the Langos integration in Ashby, paste the Langos ATS key, and add the webhook base URL.
  4. Add Langos activities to interview plans, start assessments from the candidate profile, and open the completed report in Langos.
